A little about Rob EdwardsRob Edwards brings more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry to his role as Senior Advisor. He works with accountants, lawyers and other professionals throughout Victoria and Vancouver Island to help them provide integrated financial solutions for their clients.
Most recently a Private Banker, Mr. Edwards also acted as RBC Ombudsman and Manager of the Client Concern Process during his extensive RBC career. His experience has provided him with an in-depth understanding of the industry and of its clients’ unique needs. An expert in RBC’s integrated high-net-worth offering, he connects professional advisors and their clients with a range of wealth management products, including banking, mortgage and credit services; brokerage and investment management services; as well as estate planning, executor and trustee solutions.
Mr. Edwards’ clients value his willingness to provide more than just financial advice. Meeting with clients whenever and wherever suits their needs, he also helps newcomers with every aspect of settling in to the community, introducing them to everyone from doctors to dog groomers.
An avid volunteer, Mr. Edwards is vice chair of the Victoria Hospital Foundation and holds the same position with the Downtown Business Development Association in Victoria. Past board memberships include York House School, the YMCA, the Make a Wish Foundation and the Victoria Art Gallery. He is a Personal Financial Planner, and holds an Arts degree from Simon Fraser University.
Mr. Edwards is married with two grown children, and recently became a proud grandfather for the first time. When not spending time with family, he enjoys restoring antique cars and vintage boats, collecting duck decoys, cooking and growing heritage fruit.
